Helping Out!

From school Gopal was on camping trip
With other friends whom teachers took
They had to climb a hill near by
So from there they could see the sky.

At first students were very eager
But when climbing half they were tired
Still they made it to the top
While one student in middle left out needing help.

When none came forward,
“I’ will give chocolates to whoever help”, said teacher
Suddenly few student got down and brought him
“Good”, said the teacher, “ Now the chocolates
bag is somewhere below go take it!”

Busy Dentist’s Advice!

Gopal was a progressive kid
In school his team he used to lead
Even in his house he was very active
So he is intelligent his Mom knew.

One day Gopal’s teeth came loose
And not a work he could do
Still he was on the move
Playing in his house with toys.

His Mom took him to a dentist
Who advised : Avoid sitting for a long time,
After extracting the teeth.
His Mom replied, “ the only time he did that
Was when we came here for an appointment!

Gopal was in 5th standard
In holidays his father wanted him
swimming classes to attend
Gopal was afraid to get into water
And to make him learn it was very hard for teacher.

Gopal father forced him to attend
So Gopal as he liked to learn used to pretend
His father thought he would be good swimmer
Along with his friends he would be a winner.

One day Gopal’s father went to see him in pool
At that time rain started to down pour
Leaving his friend Gopal came out of pool
To his father’s surprise, replied “To avoid being wet!”

When Small Is Tall !

Gopal was in 10th standard
Who wore clothes of latest standard
Since latest fashion is what he liked
And wanted his pocket money hiked.

Gopal’s mother loved his son
And wanted to see his team win
In the basketball match Gopal played
Where he lost one of his contact lenses.

After a brief fruitless search Gopal gave up
But his mother found within minutes she took up
“How did you do that”, asked Gopal
She replied, “I was looking for Rs 1500
and not a piece of plastic that is small!”

Amounts Size Earned

Gopal and Sham were friends
They used to get high school funds from the government
Although Gopal parents were rich
And from them a large sum was within reach.

From the money from his parents
He used to eat ice cream and chocolates
With his friend Sham who shared same taste
But one morning Gopal smiled least.

Government had decided to direct deposit to parents account
Sham happily told “You would have the money in an instant”,
But Gopal replied , “For past 5 years,
I’ve been telling my parents earned very less!”

The Wider Net

Gopal and Ramu were neighbors
Who used to play after school
The 12 year old Gopal spoke bad language
Which Gopal mother’s mind set rage.

She know Ramu used foul language
So she warned her son not to speak
But Gopal liked Ramu very much

The Number Next To Ten!

Gopal was in 5th grade
In a school of lower grade
Teacher had hard time to teach
While for pupils she coached.

One day she was teaching numbers
Most students could not remember
Teacher asks, “Gopal, do you know your numbers?
“Yup”, he says, “My dad taught me.”

Gopal told correctly the numbers from 1 to 10
Which drew teacher’s attention
She said, “Your dad did a good job,
Now, What’s after ten?, “Jack!

Not word, Word document!

Gopal was in 12th grade
And his holidays approached
He wanted to enjoy it
But his father asked him to help a bit.

As the associate in his office was on leave
And a copy of report had to be finished
He asked Gopal to give him a hand
When with his friends he had joined hands.

Gopal was on his way to go out
When his father asked him to help him out
Gopal said, “Don’t worry, I will give you my word.”
His father replied, “All I need is the Word document.”!

An idea to uphold!

Gopal used to spend a lot
With the pocket money he got
Although his father not to spend thought
Since to earn money it takes a lot.

Gopal loved to got to Mall
With his friends to have a ball
He enjoyed their company
And would spend each penny.

One day his father asked Gopal
“Ever thought of doubling the money I gave?”
An idea splashed Gopal like a tidal wave
“Sure” he replied and folded the note into two folds!

Who is there?

Five-year-old Gopal was fighting with his Mom
Who used to spoon feed him like a child
In all the issues concerning him
Who wanted to be treated like a Man.

Children were playing cricket in near by ground
And the ball fell in Gopal’s compound
Two four-year-old boys rang the calling bell
Gopal’s Mom sent Gopal,who was in to tell.

Gopal saw the boys in front of the door
And hit upon an idea with his Mom his views to share.
Mom shouted from inside, “Who is in?”,
Gopal replied, “Two grown-up boys are here!.”

Sour Stories of Dad!

Nine-years old Gopal was afraid at night
So his mother used to tell stories which he liked
His Dad wanted to take his Mom’s place,
Gopal’s father was explorer of deep forest.

Next night he took the turn to tell bedtime stories
Where he replaced it with his adventures of real bear’s
And after a good night sleep with his son
Gopla’s Dad thought with his Mom the battle he had won.

In his dreams Gopal saw bear’s
And in middle of night shivered
In morn in front of Mom, Dad asked,"who is better?"
Gopal replied, “Mothers stories are sweeter!.”

Synthesizing for Exam!

Gopal was studying in 5th grade
And his mother was trying his marks to upgrade
As his exams were going on
Gopal’s mother wanted her son to shine.

He had Botany exam that day
In the morn his mother making him recall
By asking questions while having breakfast
So her son would do well in test.

Admiring himself in his green suit
Gopal’s father entered and asked him, “How do I look?”
Taking his eyes of the book
Gopal replied, “Ready to photosynthesis!.”

Book - Reading VS Looking!

Gopal always came home after a fight
While he was playing with his friends
His father seeing his naughty 12 years old
Decided to do something to mold.

Gopal’s father bought a holy book to his child
Where stories with morals he could find
To get inspired and maintain peace
So with his friends he would be at ease.

Gopal’s father gave the book to his son
And said, “You can find everything here to win.”
But seeing him coming back home next day as usual
When his father asked about the book,
Gopal replied, “I looked it wasn’t there!.”

What are you counting?

Three years old Gopal was very naughty
And his mother had hard time maintaining sanity
Early morn she got up and prepared breakfast
When her family was still asleep.

She freshly set the table,
Woke up her son and gave tooth paste
And went to attend some other work,
When Gopal came and told her to look at something.

The table was covered with tooth paste
And Gopal was explaining it was his beautiful craft,
To control anger she counted loud, “one… two…three...”
While he innocently asked, “Mommy are you counting your blessings?”

The Winning Goal!

Gopal was the only child for his parents
They wanted from others he to stand front
So they put him in a good school
But to study Gopal didn’t feel.

He played a lot of football
And he was good among them all
When his parents saw the report card
To others to show they were afraid.

But in school for state team selection
The coach recognized this great sensation
When other proud parents made their child’s card presentation
They were shocked to hear Gopal’s name in T.V. station.

Bringing happiness back!

Gopal was in second grade
While he was born the God big nose made
About his nose size everyone said
And Gopal felt very sad.

Mothers love their children such
They watch them through heart
Gopal’s mother understood her son’s pain
And tried for Gopal being happy to maintain.

Gopal friends about his nose teased
So he asked, “It is really that big?”
For it his mother consoled saying,
“It’s just that your face is too far back!”.

Not Mine!

5 years old Gopal was ill
So his mother decided to take him to hospital
As Gopal was afraid of doctors
Taking him for his mother was a big ordeal.

She got Gopal into a vehicle
And brought him to hospital
Amid crying and shouting
Doctor in examination table seated him.

With a smile doctor asked,
“Hmm… which shoulder should I give injection”,
Terrified Gopal at once replied,
“Your shoulder is the one!.”

The Unknown Ranking System

5 years old Gopal loved to paint
But to be good in studies was the wish of his parents
As they thought if high marks he scores
His success will be known at distant shores.

Gopal's teacher sent his art work to an international competition
While in school as the lessons Gopal never used to listen
His grades in report card had fallen
And his parents hid the card crestfallen.

In school’s the annual day function
When other parents were delighted after marks of their children was mentioned
To Gopal’s parents surprise , his art was given special attention,
As it had won first place abroad and had caused sensation.

Operation for combating 8-Legged terrorist

Gopal’s mother was scared of spider
Which while having break-fast on top of table appeared
She begged her son something to do
And in Gopal’s mind operation for its execution came to view.

‘No Entry Zone’ was placed in the dinning room
And Gopal armed himself with soap solution and broom
Got hold of short hose and plunged into its one end to nozzle of the funnel
To deliver the strong soap solution on ‘ terrorist’ to kill.

Gopal making sure the hose was placed accurately near the creature
Poured the deadly concoction into the funnel after saying a small prayer,
Emptying the mug Gopal with drew the hose
To his mother’s glee spider lying on its back and moving panicky its eight hairy legs.

Mystery Uncovered

For primary children he used to give lecture
Most of the kids in school were naughty
But he controlled them efficiently.

There was a tree with ripe Mangoes in school campus
To which one day he saw children throwing stones
While Gopal was watching from a distance
Through the window in his office.

Gopal through attainder called the group
Who denied they had to do anything about
When he charged his attainder saw four of them
One yelled, “He’s lying, there were only three of us!.”
