Between Generations Bulb On and Off

writing 4 kids
Gopal and his friends were restless with whatever they had
While going to college their parents advice they used to evade
As their mind changed at the drop of the hat
Now Gopal was asking his mother to tell Dad to buy a new bike.

Gopal’s father’s generation was “too old to rock and roll and too young to die”
Who were proud of their possession like switching forever ‘ON’ the tube light
So he was angry Gopal sold his old bike without reason
As switching ‘ OFF’ things at flick of a thought.

Gopal’s world is not fully born
And his father’s world is not quite dead
So Gopal’s father brought a new bike
With his son on the way to college dropping him to his office.

The Unknown Ranking System

writing 4 kids
5 years old Gopal loved to paint
But to be good in studies was the wish of his parents
As they thought if high marks he scores
His success will be known at distant shores.

Gopal's teacher sent his art work to an international competition
While in school as the lessons Gopal never used to listen
His grades in report card had fallen
And his parents hid the card crestfallen.

In school’s the annual day function
When other parents were delighted after marks of their children was mentioned
To Gopal’s parents surprise , his art was given special attention,
As it had won first place abroad and had caused sensation.

How the Act protects!

Bt Brinjal Creative Writing verse

During Gopal’s first year in collage
To save his money a battle against his seniors he had to wage
They used to force him for free treats
And he had to struggle to make ends meet.

One day in hostel while reading newspaper in sunshine
Gopal’s eye caught BT Regulatory Bill of 2009
Which stated those who opposed GM food would be behind bars
So he had decided his seniors to invite to breakfast.

Gopal ordered as dessert for his seniors Bt Brinjal ice-cream
With hot pepper sprinkled behind their back
They were forced to eat without complaint
And not anymore troubling Gopal for future free treats!

Mystery Uncovered

Creative Writing 4 Kids

For primary children he used to give lecture
Most of the kids in school were naughty
But he controlled them efficiently.

There was a tree with ripe Mangoes in school campus
To which one day he saw children throwing stones
While Gopal was watching from a distance
Through the window in his office.

Gopal through attainder called the group
Who denied they had to do anything about
When he charged his attainder saw four of them
One yelled, “He’s lying, there were only three of us!.”

My friend indeed!

Creative Writing

Cigarette is my friend in need
Unlike a fair-weather friend
Cigarette offers solace in times of turmoil
By burning all problems and vanishing them to thick air.

Smoking is one’s carefully cultivated ‘air’
Like in World War II Winston Churchill’s ‘V’ sign and cigar
Which is the trademark he is associated
Hence Cigarette is a friend beyond compare.

My trusted friend had literally burnt
himself with every deep inhalation
Taking all my turmoil and pain
And he had clung to me without quitting
So who in the world could beat him!
